new computer - procedures with DAZ - non-technical

i am about a month overdue in my plans for getting a new computer, the question i have is procedure and rules for deleting the studio and transferring content to new computer and DIM etc. i want it as hassle free as possible-;ast time i used a tranfer cable and thumb nail but that was before DIM

anyway, i was kind of stunned that computers are no longer coming out with opitcal drives, has anyone had any issues with portable optical drives- my poser studios are on disc, i have a 600 DVD library and scores of games on CDs so this is a huge concern for me

 

my current computer was top of the line when i got it 6 or 7 years ago and can still handle anything thrown at it but the age is making me paranoid it just may not come on some day in the future

 

and how about content i own that has been discontiuned like millenial stuff etc - any issues for DIM ?

Anything you bought will be available in your account to dowonload again as you need to.

 

As for transfering fromone computer to another, I found the best way was to use an external HDD.  Transfer from current computer to external and then later from the external to your new computer.
