Daz Studio Posing Errors when reloading scenes
Hi,
I've been noticing something very strange in Daz Studio when using G8 figures. Daz Studio sometimes loads in the poses of that figures in a different way than they were saved in, when reloading a saved scene. For example: I created a scene where a G8 female figure is holding a spike in place to go into a piece of wood. I posed the left hand to be holding the nail and resting on the piece of wood at the same time (the nail is parented to the left hand). Then I save the scene, so it can be loaded in later for a Batch render sequence. When the Batch render runs, my G8 female figure has her left hand penetrating the piece of wood almost to the wrist instead of lying on top of it, as it was saved... I have checked this on multiple scenes this has happened on to rule out human error, which it isn't But Daz realy loads in poses differently from time to time...
I learned some time ago that DAZ also cannot save the perspective view point of view in a scene for reloading, nor the "point at" feature for eyes. Is this posing error something similar? And most importantly, how doe I get rid of it? (Does it have anything to do with unchecking the "apply limits" checkbox in the properties tab of certain pose settings? Would it help to lock the complete scene before saving? If so, is there a quick way to lock and unlock everything in a scene instead of manually selecting everything one by one and doing it?
Thanks a lot,
best regards,
Me

Not saving Perspective View is by design.
Does your figure have any custom morphs applied that have not been saved as moprh assets (so spawned from dForms, or brought in from the ZBrush or Hexagon bridge or imported with one of the Morph Loaders)?
Hi,
Thanks for the reply!
No special morphs, only some morphs that were transfered from G3
Instead of perspective view you can make a camera; when you do this you can say to copy the current view into the camera.
Those may count for this purpose, at least if they were trasnfered in a way that didn't sae them as assets.
Thanks! And how do I check if they are saved as assets? And correct it if they are not?
Also I have noticed the issue only appears to happen if something is parented to the affected limb (or bone). Does that make sense?
Parented objects should inherit the parent's scale, it may be related to that.
Aha! Thanks!!! I will do some experiments with that!!!
