Hierarchical ERC Freeze? (Don't know what else to call it)

I want to ERC freeze some bone center and end point movements along with a morph. That is pretty simple.

But...I also want to ERC freeze a joint rotation of a figure parented to that bone. Everything looks good in property hierarchy and works as expected, but it seems the erc freeze info is not being saved to the morph dsf file. Next time I open the file, the parented figure's rotation is no longer freezed to the morph.

Is this a bug? Or am I missing a step or two?

On a related note, I would also like to have some morphs auto follow morphs from an object it is NOT parented to.

EXAMPLE: G8F has a bodysuit fit to her and parented. The body suit has adjustment morphs. There is another layer of clothing on top of the bodysuit, also fit to and parented to G8F. It has the same adjustment morphs, but will not autofollow the bodysuit since it is not fit to it. I would like to do an ERC freeze to make the morphs autofollow anyway. Again, it works fine at first, and everything shows up in Property Hierarchy, but the proper formulas don't seem to get saved to the dsf file.

  • I think you will need to use a Wearables preset to capture the linkage

Yes, after further experimentation, it works if saved as a wearable or a scene subset.

But is there a reason that functionality is missing when saving as a single figure or prop? Is it because only the item being saved is selected, so no other items are "seen", even those that have an ERC link?

    As I understand it, yes.
