How well does https://www.daz3d.com/legacy-uvs-for-genesis-8-victoria-4 work with textures with a lot of detail like 2nd skins or tiger stripe textures?

Extremely well. They can be tricky to use if you're using add-on shaders like NGS Anagenesis 2 or Altern8... the trick is to save the skin texture(s) with all the final tweaks to the native figure before transfering it to G8 or G3, rather than trying to get even application across all the various bridging pieces by adjusting each peice separately... but I've never had a problem as far as the piece edge textures matching, That said, second skin clothing effects usually work better if they're done on geoshells.
I agree, best to save the textures as a Materials Preset with the shaders and adjustments you want applied to it first - then one can add the Materials Preset to the Legacy UVs.
I really love Cayman Studios Legacy UV products and own most of them. They're really great products that keep the older textures viable for use on the newer figures. :) They can be a little tricky to use at first but the process becomes quicker and easier once you do it a couple times. :)
Thanks, At this point I'm pretty much sticking with out of the box textures
I got this working with Thistle and Rawart's Catworld Jaguar. The only minor problem is the Petunia nose graft that will probably have to be textured by hand. I'll probably be buying more in the future.
Just a warning: If you're going to move these files, you have to move the whole Anatomy folder or they will not work

The solution to the nose problem is to load Genesis 8 and apply the thistle morphs.
I used to use Texture Converter for tasks like this. It worked really well for anthropomorphic creatures but not so well for high tech looking catsuits. This product, on the other hand, does a great job on both.
