Blocky Render Problem

Hi can anyone tell me what I have done wrong to get this blockyness in my render please?

  • That's a "terminator effect" - the boundary between shaded and unshaded is picking up and exaggerating the facets of the model (which are usually disguised by the way shading varies). Softening the light may help, as may tweaking the angle of the light. You can also apply Subdivision to the top (select it and Edit>Figure>Geometry>Convert to SubD), or incerase the render Division lelve in Parameters if it's already applied.
