Obj. Import from 3dsMax. Normals messed up?

Hello.
I have a model done in Max. When I import it to DAZ I have weird normals behavior. Looks like they are unified? It's being triangulated on import. But what about normals?
When I cut the wall in Max, I had to break all normals in Edit Normals modifier to make them even.
But after export-import they are messed up.
Any solution for this?

Go to material surface and decrease smooth angle.
Thank you very much! Didn't even notice what was there in the bottom of the list of Surface Editor. Tha't actually a great feature
