Geo Shell Magic

I'm no expert when it comes to geoshells, but I thought the only way to make parts of them transparent, other than using opacity maps was to trun the whole geoshell off.

I have seen something that I cant wrap my head around. 

I applied a geoshell bodysuit on a character, and part of the torso section othe the geoshell seems to be transparent, with no sign of an opacity map being used.

How is this being done?

Under the Parameter for the Geoshell yoiu have the ability to turn the visibilty off for each part of the shell
