Saving a surface as a preset?

hi, I like the surface (skin) setting I have configured for one figue, I'd like to apply the same settings to another figure, it is possible to save the surface as a preset and populate it to another figure?
how do i do that?

Save as a material preset
Like FSMCDesigns said, you can set up a Materials Preset. Do you want it to be able to load the same texture maps, or just load the settings and not apply the texture maps?
If you want it to load both the settings AND the texture maps onto the new figure just save it as File >> Save As >> Materials Preset. However if you want it to just load the settings but NOT change the other character's texture maps you'll need to tell it to "Uncheck All Images".
When the window pops up when you go to save it as a Materials Preset you'll see a little box with some lines in it in the upper right-hand corner of the pop-up window. Click on that and go to "Uncheck" then "Uncheck All Images" then save the materials preset. That way it's set up to just apply the settings while not changing the texture maps.
