Fantasy Bargain Bundle

The email and the banner add says "then they're gone" for the Fantasy Bargain Bundles

Does that mean that this is a one-time shot at getting the bundles, but the products will remain in the store as normal

or

Is it implying that Daz plans to retire these products and this is their way of trying to let us know?

  • I'm sure they just mean that the bargain bundles will be gone soon, probably today only. One of them contains the Giselle 6 base figure and I can't see Daz actually retiring that so soon.

I would assume the same. No way is Daz retiring base characters.

Personally, I would have thought it that it would be nice that when they're doing fantasy bundles, that at least one or two of the qualifying new items fit the theme, but nothing there has a fantasy bent.

my fantasy is that the bundle would have something I'm interested in.

I don't even see the bundles. Not sure if that's a page error or if I've already got everything. frown

    LMAO, to funny!

  • Kinda surprised they are doing away with the bundles. It seems like a decent way to actually sell older stuff like V4/M4 and G2. Can't imagine many people are still buying a lot of that stuff when it isn't dirt cheap or free.

I would say it's just that particular bundle offer

are possibly doing different bundles until new year but that's speculation

    I find these bundles misleading.

I don't own any of the products according to the info when I view, yet I know I own products in bundles that are featured as items; Giselle 6, Jungle Girl and Heroine Fantasy Armour are examples.

Earlier I didn't see any either, but now I see two.

Which info? I checked the individual pages for the items in the bundles, only reliable way to see if you own any of them AFAIK.

The items in the bundle I own show up for me, but I am using ATI's plugin and that is probably what is doing it.  That thing has been wonderful as far as I am conserned.

LMAO...I thought the same thing ;). Or at least something I haven't got already o.O

I still buy (and use) Genesis 2 products from time to time, but anything older than that I REALLY haven't got a use for.

  • To be honest, with as much as I've spent here over the last three months, it would have to be a pretty spectacular sale to get me to buy anything at all at the moment.  Or an item I really needed.  Fantasy bundles I own half of will not do it.

It usually highlights items I own in a Pro Bundle, for example, by greying it out; not sure if that is ATI's addon.

Yes. That is from ATI/Overdrawn's excellent addon. As an additional note that addon is also working for me with the fantasy bundles.

I was disappointed both yesterday and today that with each bundle I have more than half the items really taking any desire out of huying them. I would love to either be able to build my bundles or have some deeper sales price option that could be used with newer product....

Well the bundles were useful as...

I realised that I hadn't used Giselle for a couple of years, so transferred over the textures and morphs to G8F; discovered I had some fairy wings (for G3F) and somehow ended up with a render - fair bit of post work.

"You brought a Gun to a Magic fight?" - I might decide to post a larger image in the gallery; can't decide if I like it enough yet. :)

Hopefully a G3 or G8 bundle before the year ends wink

Yeah, with something I actually want to buy because I don't want to just buy something to get something cheaper especially if I already own half the bundled offerings.

Well, one niggle I found with two of the bundles was that both of them they'd taken two things that are only tenuously connected, if even that, and put them into the particular bundle, then did another bundle of the same two types of stuff.... but the two types of items they mixxed together don't usually get used together in the same sorts of stories.  The categories were gothic stuff, and superhero stuff.  That's sorta like having  "The Kitchen Utensils and Sporting Goods Bundle."   I was like, "Gee, if you'd simply made one bundle that was all those gothic items in one place, and then made another bundle that was all those superhero things in one place, I'd have probably bought the gothic bundle and ignored the superheros bundle... some others would have bought the superheros bundle and ignored the gothic one..."

In the end, I bought none of them, because I've already spent way above my self-imposed budget for the month, and the contents of these bundles just weren't that interesting to me, plus, alot of the bundled items in the various offerings were ones I already had.
