Is it too late to make Christmas textures for the dForce Universal Dress for Genesis 8 Female(s)? I found some Christmas patterns that I got from Renderosity that I can use to make freebies. I was wondering if it is too late to make textures for this lovely dress to give away as a Christmas gift.
Now: Is it too early to start making Easter textures for this dress?

there is always next years xmas ;)
I don't think its too late. Still several days til Christmas and I frequently mix and match no matter what the season. And, many patterns etc. can be used outside of Christmas as well.
I would say it's probably too late, besides, there is already a commercial inexpensive Christmas texture addon for it https://www.daz3d.com/ud-expansion-2-christmas
It may not have been your intention, but it comes off like you're saying to not bother because the product in question already exists which is an odd take to have.
It's never too late to make anything. There's always a market for holiday related things, whether it's timely or not. Especially if it's free. Go for it.
Do it... and take your time... there's also a christmas in July
Also it is not the same thing. That looks like a fancy Victorian era style Christmas Dress. What I was thinking of was more of a fun Christmas dress that one would wear to an office party.
As someone who makes physical cards every year, it always frustrates me that Daz releases holiday themed products too late for me to use. (Last year, I used the Nutcracker in my image, and in January, Nutcracker II was released!)
By all means, have some fun and create your holiday textures for the dress. Wherever you decide to share them, there will be a lot of people happy to find and use them as they get ready for Christmas 2019. And for some of those people, that means the middle of summer!
Is it too early to create Easter textures for this dress? Or is it really too early for Christmas textures?
hot cross buns and easter eggs were in the shops here two days after Christmas....
so I'll guess and say no
same here in Tasmania, Australia. And Valentines was starting last year too actually everything starts months ahead here. Like L'Adair said so should Daz with their holiday/celebration themed products should start churning them out in advance instead of at the last minute so those that do do specific themed stuff for specific calendar events have time to work on their projects with new stuff cause some of you must be pushed to get what you want done done in time
The rule says strictly no Easter stuff before April 12 LOL.
Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode-
Jerry: It was a 'thank you' card from Kristin because I'm doing the PBS drive.
I mean, how long am I supposed to keep it?
George: The rule is a minimum of two days.
Jerry: You making that up or do you know what you're talking about?
George: I'm making it up.
