Virtual Memory, question about changing paging file size.

Hi All,

I was looking to change the paging file size for my computer as I get a low memory warning while rendering when I reach about 65% of memory usage. I found a tutorial on how to do that so I went into my system options. I learned that my currently allocated memory is 3072 MB but the recommended is 5617 MB. Great, more memory. My question though is what should I set for the minimum allowed memory? I really dont even know why I should set a minimum but im sure its computer knowledge that is beyond my scope of understanding. Any help would be appreciated.

You should set the page file to grow as needed. Setting it to fixed sizes causes problems. Minimum isn't the issue. If you're getting out of memory errors then either the page file has reached it's max size or your hard drive is full.

So, I have daz on my D drive. Should the d drive be my main concern, or is the c drive still the main culprit as far as the memory is concerned? If C:, I can see that I might indeed be running out of space.

How do you set the page file to grow as needed? I dont see an option for that.
