Crash when trying to render with RTX 2080 TI on Public Build v4.11.0.236 Pro Edition (64-bit)
in The Commons
Essentially the title.
I got my RTX 2080TI today an have installed it, updated drivers and all that. I've been running the listed build for a while now and this scene works fine on a 970 (albeit slowly) and a 1070.
From what I read the beta version should be able to render with the RTX cards and this is apparently not the case. I'm on Nvidia driver 417.22.

Not sure tbh.. but I can confirm it works here on the same setup.. so something is up.
Did you do a clean install of the drivers when you updated them?
Have you tested the card with anything else, to make sure its not the card? Something like Aida64 or some other benchmark/test?
Yes, I literally just installed it and updated the drivers and stress tested it via Furmark. It's run BFV maxed out in 4k as well. It's definitely not the card.
Are you on 417.22? And the same Daz build?
Did you use Display Driver Uninstaller to remove previous versions of the drivers? Always worth using tbh.
Update: Upon playing around it would seem it's some sort of wacky "beta" style issue. It works with all assets in the scene individually but something about some combination of them breaks it despite the scene working with older cards (and smaller VRAM availability). Annoying.
Anyone know when there will be non-beta RTX support?
Not unless Daz is on the point of releasing a new version, if it's still in development and testing then even they can have only tentative plans (and don't share those).
