Adding things to Content Library?

Over the last year, I've amassed an enourmous amount of freebies. Freebies everywhere. Probably thousands of them.
I wasn't smart enough to put them in a separate area from my purchased content. However, I DO take a screenshot of the name and licence info for each one, and keep those organized by theme in a totally separate folder on my desktop to try to make it easier to find stuff. But even with that, it's a big pain to try to find what I'm looking for.
Which brings me to this question - is there a way to enter freebie content (or purchases from other sites) into the Daz Content Library, where it would show up alphabetically with my Daz purchases, and become searchable? If there were some way to do that, it would make life so much easier!
Does anyone know if that is even possible?

Thank you! Wow, that is... reeeeaally complicated. I see why no one except Daz PAs includes metadata in their products now.
If there were some way to automate that into a script, I for sure would buy it. I imagine a lot of Renderosity and Freebies fans would, too!
if you do it a few times, it takes a minute or so.... I have it memorized but it does indicate the work that PA's do...it isn't automated for them either.
I use https://www.daz3d.com/content-package-assist to bring things into daz content library.
Does following this process add the product to Smart Content or just Content Library?

I can find most of my freebies or Rendo proucts in Content Library under My Library but never in Smart Content. It would be nice to add to Smart Content, can that be done by this process?
Thanks
Yes, the process described will create a product that will be listed in Smart Content with all of the smart content functionality being activated.
As far as I am aware the metadata is added by Daz QA.
There is also a utility sold here that allows you to create DIM install files for content bought at other stores - https://www.daz3d.com/content-package-assist
You can manually move the "facing files" (files that you see when running DAZ Studio) by yourself. You can put them in places where you can easily find them. I never use Content Manager, or Smart Content. DAZ has never gotten it to work properly.
That packages content so that it can be installed with DIM, but I am pretty sure that it does not add smart content, other than making it appear in the products section (which is just a list of all the user facing files).
The problem with a script or plug in to create smart content, is that it does not have the data available to make good smart content. All the script has to work on is the name of the user facing files, and the directories they are stored in. If the files are poses, and they are stored in a directory called People/Genesis 8 Female/Poses then it could make them as poses for Genesis 8 Female. However pose files could be scattered anywhere. Also it needs to know if the poses are for Standing/Sitting etc, it can only get this from the file name, but many pose sets are just Pose 01.duf, Pose 02.duf etc. A set of textures for a clothing item that is another product would be tricky to tie with the relevant product (it needs to know the exact name and place of the relevant dsf file to ensure the materials are set for the correct clothing item)
Actually creating Smart Content programmatically is relatively easy, the issue is getting the correct data to put in the support dsx file, and that is not easy, for the reasons I have stated.
I am sure you arre right and they should be thanked for their hard work.
