EULA question

Hi, I had a question regarding the EULA. I have a project for school in which I am supposed to design a game with characters. So I figured DAZ would be the logical place for me to look. I see that a lot of the products have an interactive license feature. Do you have to pay for the interactive license only for commercial work? Or do you have to pay for it for academic work too? Thank you.

Is your game going to have the actual 3d figures incorporated in it?   Or are you going to be using 2d sprites?

The EULA does have an Academic Addendum, but really that is slanted towards the actual Academic Institution (ie school, college or whatever) rather than towards individuals.

study the EULA  https://www.daz3d.com/eula   particularly the Academic and Interactive addendums, although really you may need to contact Daz, using a support ticket.to clarify your case.

I fail to see how DAZ would be the logical place to look for game content since the majority here do renders and animations only. As for the question, pretty sure the interactive license is needed for any content where the mesh is used in a game, regardless if it is academic or not. If it is a 2D game only where it uses sprites only, then no license is needed. Your best bet would be to file a support ticket to get a direct answer from DAZ (HELP - CONTACT US - SUBMIT A HELP TICKET)
