    :) Memories of bryce booleans

Bryce booleans can be turned into meshes and saved out as .obj w/textures in 7.1. That's how I made the cheese wedge the mouse is squee-king about. :)

bryce has come a long way :) one of the grownups

trying to remember my first version, it was before it's Daz days.
Maybe Bryce 3D ("It moves!"), my first version. :)

lol, look what i found in my old file drawer

oh woww, this looks awesome useful http://www.daz3d.com/rain-tool yayy pafest coupie, luv me two times.

non complaint - a whole nother night of installing.

...if you're intending to do a sic-fi story, Utopia Labs. Me I have Village Courtyard as it fits some of the scenes along the Adriatic Coast before the war.

Although Utopia Labs (on my wishlist) would be great for the Æon Technology headquarters outside of Hilo. Just to broke to to take advantage the sale.

thanks :) scifi goodies! that pafest coupie saved the day :) forgot about the pro bundle thingees, doh

...are you missing any? I got Girl4 Pro for around 12$ and one of the qualifying items in my cart was PC priced (Jack's A Dubious Hallway).

i tend to buy the starter bundles, though i did get the A4 pro bundle way back when. luvs me the Aiko :)

spent from my grocery money. lookin forward to budget meals all week.

i don't remember ever rendering Aiko in that shiny pvc lookin outfit.

...already have both the Aiko3 & 4 pro bundles. Lots of neat stuff in both particularly Aiko3. Seems the newer bundles have fewer things I want (a lot of skimpwear for the girls) so I tend to just stick with figure bases or starter kits if they include a few nice things. Got V5 and M5 Pro which was included with Carrara Pro, so now at least I have gens and toast for the Gen5 characters. (more important for the males to get that "bulge" and for "classic" statues - so love playing with shaders).

The only other Pro bundle I purchased was YT 5 during the glitch ridden intro sale back in December. This was one of the best bundles for the money I had seen in some time (up there with AIko3 in my book) as it included nice clothing, hairs and characters (skin mats) and poses.

When I got D5, I actually made my own bundle during the sale that was going on at the time (also has a coupie I used). Made a pretty good one for about the same price with items I'd actually use.

...and now David has toast thanks to Mike. (that really didn't come out right did it?)

Ooh, look at that for a blast from the past.

Bryce 3 was the first version that had animation, hence it moves. Bryce 2, which was my first version, didn't. (1996.) The Original Bryce (we would say Bryce 1 now) was for the Mac only

    rant of the week:

This page cannot be displayed. I see this error message every other time I open Poser 9. I need to right-click on the white page and then click refresh to see the content library. I wonder if my firewall is blocking Poser from connecting to a local server or content manager.

A/V Might be blocking a required port yes, from memory (?) 11530 (?) the P9 SR3.1 has a fix for that I think, you can check the readme. Adobe has a flash debug website if that's any help http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html :>)

    Might Help

....we ha a pretty strong storm roll through here lat night, lots of trees/tree limbs down power outages & such. Nothing as stong as 90mph but still pretty bad with heavy rains (over 1.25 inches yesterday alone) compounding things.

...well, thought I had everything fixed, however, when I started up this afternoon got a bluescreen just after logging in .Restarted in safe mode and first checked diagnostics (which to me was pretty much all Geek) and saw a warning that dealt with a browser issue that apparently was the culprit. Ran a CCleaner registry scan and it found an error which dealt with IE (and I don't even use IE unless MS does when it sends those updates).

Seems those five updates which MS said were installed were wiped out out by the restore too even though they still show in the update history with a "successful" status. I checked the installed updates and they were not there. I tired to manually install, but it gives me three to four update choices and I'm not sure which one I need.

You will need to check the boot disk for errors first with whatever HDD utility windows supplies - CHDSK (?) 'cos that's a different issue to the one you were having before *haz large sympathize*

It didn't seem like we even got the breeze that was supposed to come by today. Certainly no rain. But I was tied up with things so my outside project had to wait. Maybe tomorrow.

...seems it might have been that IE registry error as it started up fine after I fixed it with CCLeaner.

The first time it let me get all the way to the desktop before it occured. The second time it happened before I could even log on after which I started in safe mode and ran the diagnostics.

    ----

Well that's useless. Clicked on check local disk on eh error checking tab, but when I click "start" it says it cannot do it while the disk is in use. huh? What's the point of having the tool if you can't use it? It's like saying "here's a hammer but because you have it in your hand it's already in use so so you can't drive any nails in with it.until you put it down". Who the heck is getting paid the big Zlotys to write this kind of stuff?

I am confused (my usual state). Is your comp starting up OK now? Are your programs working OK other than check disk? I am no help with this, just wondering if your comp is still having major issues.
As far as Windows Updates go, have you run "Check for updates". I always thought it would look at the actual updates that were installed, and not just check the Update History list. The older I get, the dumber I get. I used to know this stuff.
I have become obsolete. That is my Complaint.

...Check for update indicated there were six new, "non-important" updates available. There was another screen looked at that showed which updates were DL'd and which were actually installed.

One of our resident tech gurus can figure it out.
This link sounds like it could help. It gives advice on what to do when things go wrong with Updates in Windows 7 (I think you mentioned this was your OS).

...just loaded in Magnus Manor and what a set. Not only big, but beautifully detailed The texture on the walls is incredible and the pipework on the organ is exquisite though it definitely will slow render times (especially with UE and/or ray tracing) due to the high amount of reflectivity.

I think I found the Grande Manor's music hall.

Hedging on the Townhouse. 15 min to zero hour. 12$ instead of 24$ and it is important to the London scenes. May as well get something I've been waiting long for in this sale.

Got food for the next week though the weekend. Tough decision.

Sounds like you need to run a disk check from DOS before the OS mounts the disk, does DOS still exist? When you see one grab a Linux "Live" distro on CD, you can boot from CD and run disk utilities and so on, very useful if you come across a magazine with a cover DVD. Are there any tech magazines left? Compliant: feel old

is it possible to reorder M4's ikey chains without messing up the morphs?

i'd like to add a body handle between his feet and move the 'hip' to the null.
or move 'hip' to one of his toes?
