GIS Orion "Hump"

Has anyone come up with a way to do away with the hump in the middle of the GIS Orion set?  Its really awkward and out of place?
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

As a rough and ready fix you could use transparency maps to hide the hump, fill the floor hole with a plane and use a primitive or prop to cover thewall hole.

Then steal bits of the original maps to texture them.

    Quick attempt below.

Edit: And as a reference a before shot

ReEdit: May as well post my Cutout map in case it's useful. (Should have dropped the size down to 1 or 2K, no need to be the size it is. Never mind, too late now).

OK, it's easier and a lot better result to remove the "hunp" section with the Geometry Editor instead of using an opacity map.

Then use the plane primitive to patch the hole.

Thats a little beyond the scope of my skillset.  Unfortunately, i discovered the opacity map also takes out the structures at the ends of the room, but i can deal with that in the same way im dealing with the floor.  My only real issue is coming up with something clever to cover the hole left on the wall strut.  But i think i have an idea as to how im going to manage that as well.

    Thanks again.

Thats  why the Geo. Edit tool gives a better result.

And honestly, if you want to learn to use it at some stage this would be one of the easiest exercises I've come across, there are only a handful of polys to remove but it took me forever to start using it so I can understand putting it off. Very handy tool to have when you get a bit comfortable with it though.

Also I managed to mess that opacity map up a little, not sure how, the original worked fine but I deleted it with all my Daz GIS content (scattered around runtimes and some needed updating, zapped them all and redownload to my "Sci_Fi" runtime where  they should have been) then couldn't find that map so downloaded the copy here. It's too short.

I could redo it if you need but not till latter, almost 5 in the morning here and need sleep.

When you get time I would appreciate it.  I dont see where its messed up, but I'll take your word for it.
