Skin glows in preview?

QQ - I've had this problem for a long time and never bothered chasing it down. On some materials for Gen 8, the skin appears to glow during preview. See attached - that's the texture shaded view. Anyone seen this? This happened on my Nvidia 960M and also happens on my 1070.
