Many nice renders and images since my last one.
Anyway, someone mentioned the lack of teenage boys for G8M, so that was the challenge here.
A young mariachi fiddler/singer seemed like a good idea to me (to go along with the whole Western stuff I've been doing).
(The violin is a little modern for this purpose even after I took off the shoulder rest. I'll have to check out the fiddle in the Sea Shanty props.)
The town needed a good-for-nothing Sheriff.
(He's actually based on G3M Santa Claus.)
The Deputy gets to carry the huge shotgun since the Sheriff has a ridiculously small 6-shooter.
My characters Sachiko and Kiseki at the tea shop
Deputy and Sheriff together.

Saw this one in the gallery, nicely done!
I'd agree, similar features. Very cool 3D character with story telling potential.
She exudes confindence and attitude. Cool character study.
One more little test render, starting to throw characters together to see how they look under similar lighting.
Thanks! I'm enjoying this Western stuff.
I'm hoping Holt 8 is soon and has more good Western bits to play with...
8/24 - don't like the poses, should be action
I loaded in Urban Future 5 and it turns out it actually goes with the foresty set too
Romantic interest? Or a wagon load of trouble?
a two for one...get both. Nice render!
The Stare... So cold, so wicked...
I said this in the gallery, but the monochrome/black and white is quite nice here.
Too often, you see a simple straight desatuated image when people try to do a simulated b&w image... except that there's often not enough contrast, making those kinds of fake b&w images less dramatic and interesting.
For this one, there's good contrast here. There's visual interest, a clear distinction between the light skin and the dark hair & dark background.
It's this kind of contrast, the depth of light/darkness interplay, that makes the image pop. It's a good lesson for others to look for in their own black and white work.
No Holt 8 stuff in this image... even if the style isn't that different from Holt 8's stuff.
I'm still trying to figure out the young lady's motivations in my head. That doesn't stop me from doing test renders, however.

I don't know why but she reminds me of Laura Ingalls' nemesis on Little House ... Praries. Don't rememeber the character's name though, its too way back.
Nellie was her name.
The blonde hair, the bangs, the ribbons.
I didn't set out to make her look like Nellie Oleson (I dialed up that figure a whole ago), but after I looked at her with Fayette Hair, it's the hair that makes me think of her.
I really didn't use Fayette before, but with this period stuff, I quite like Fayette Hair...
Father and son, taking a pleasant stroll?
(Went back to Brute 8 for the skin on the big fella)
You've got a great collection of towns folk just waiting for a story to tell. They all have individuality and personality. Besides, Westerns never go out of style.
Kayleigh...
Thanks! It's just taken time for me to get into the idea of Western renders, I think. I'm glad it's looking like a cohesive universe.
It's enough to put ideas together for a comic or VN, anyway.
Wow! Really STUNNING work! Well done!
BROTHERS!
SEPTEMBER IS ALMOST HERE, BROTHERS!!!!
Thanks!
