a ton of noob experiments, be careful.

    here https://www.daz3d.com/bank-vault

that does not have such light setup, I did from scratch until satisfied with the results.

Heh, I like your proposed title, fits great with the render.

Yeah, I missed the bubbles too, but I don't own any bubble product... yet.

  • Grab a bubble texture off the internet, toss it in diffuse and displacement, and add a rainbow reflection.  That's what I do. :-)

I could give it a try, thanks for the suggestion! smiley

She's not looking at the dishes, the water, or her hands… but she does appear to being staring intently at that big butcher knife! Considering that, I believe I'd name this one, "It's Not Worth It. It's Not Worth It. It's Not Worth It…"

Haha, it could be that way. Anyway, I'm rendering it again, since it didn't reach enough convergence. I have also changed her pose and the mood of the image; I will post it when I finish it.

Given I put money into Tuesday's mega sale on old G2 assets, I figured I should justify it by actually doing something Genesis 2 based. It's not a complex scene, but polishing up older assets is often how I most end up refining my skills with Iray materials.

Study the images that look good to you, and ask questions. Experiment... and render as much as you can. Then ask more questions.

    And render some more.

Good advice dragonfly. I shall persevere.

  • And then repeat

I am not entirely happy how the bubbles are turning out, I will be doing more testing. Meanwhile, I did a simple portrait :P

You could try this (if you not already have):

    WetFX Decal & Shader Kit  -  https://www.daz3d.com/catalog/product/view/id/51893

Nice one Ivy! I used to develop addons for the flightsim community and most there tend to take screenshots and videos of their flights and this reminds me on one of the many flights I had around Alaska, my fav place to fly.

My husband and I took a 2 week cruise to Anchorage( I got tons of great pictures)  and one of the things we did was took a flight by float plane to the some glaciers and that was what inspired me to make this render  :) I picked up a bunch of stuff i had in my wishlist in the MM sales
