Hi there I am new here. I have Installed the install manager and given the app access through windows firewall.
It keeps timing out when trying to connect to my account. Also when I try to do any manual download of files from my "My Orders" links the download links time out and I simply get a cant connect. In chrome it tells me the download links are broken.

Please help me I would like to start using Daz3D and its content but need to at least get past this first hurdle if I am going to purchase content.

Regards,
Jaybass

The DIM can take a couple of minutes to connect with the store, and I have a decent (16MB) connection. How long is it taking before you get the timeout message, and what is generating it?

If you go to your My Account area, and click on Product Library, you will find any items that you have bought, free or otherwise, and you can download them from there. There are blue buttons for manual install, and green buttons for using the DIM.

    See if that helps any.

Sorry, I thought that when you said 'My Orders' you were trying to download from an email link.

The reason you see less than 4 GB for DIM, is because it is a 32 bit application, and it does not require to be any more than that.

If you are using the correct Username and Password for your account, then I can only think that something is stopping it from connecting ot the store. The Network error listed above may be something to look into, but I'm afraid I don't know what that would mean in real terms.

I would assume that it is something on your end, since you can't even download manually, so the DIM is not the culprit here.

If you can hang on for a little while, there are users here who know a lot more about this sort of thing than I do, so there is still hope.

The 32 bit platform of Win7 will only show 4Gb as that is the limit for 32 bit memory. What I would do is go to C:/Users/USER Name/Appdata/Roaming/Daz 3D/Install Manager (Tip Appdata is a hidden folder by default) then delete the User File .ini
That will let you re-register. This is what you should know, DIM is known to fail if the User Name or other info has a none standard letter in it. I hope this helps you.
