Cannot upload images to forums-any ideas?(SOLVED kind of)

Ok so I've tried different browsers, resetting my browsers, downscaling image, converting to jpeg, restarting modem, logging out&in, re-booting... anything else I could try? This started yesterday, never had any problems before...somehow I got it to work yesterday but today... nada! Mac user, primary browser is Firefox, updated yesterday, with Safari same problem.

    How many times for each upload have you tried? It doesn't happen to me often (although others have reported it bites them more frequently), but I do usually manage to get an upload to work after three or four tries if I delete the dud "broken image" icon then go through the attach process again.

    A couple of times;) All I get is the "upload..." thing, nothing happens. Tried uploading in different formats with different rgb profiles, cropping it, scaling it...latest version was 1.6MB...

    Hmm I opened it in the preview app and cropped it a tiny bit, then resaved and it uploaded, go figure...

    That might actually have been your problem — there's a file size limit for attachments, and while it's supposed to be (I think) 2MB, the DAZ forum software is known to be a bit flaky and has rejected files that ought to be inside the size limit.

    By the way, why is it not possible to upload an image right from the C-disk. Going through for instance Onedrive or Dropbox is quite the obstacle.

    As long as your image fits within the size requirements, you should be able to directly load from any location. Bear in mind that attaching an image to a thread is occasionally buggy. I load my forum images from an external drive.

    Tks but no, I mentioned I downscaled the image + converted to jpeg, it was like 1.5MB, and I upload 3.5MB images on a regular basis... never mind, it's working now (fingers crossed) =))

    I load images straight from my computer.
