Shop Preview's Product Image for commercial Use ?

May I use the preview images of a daz3d shop product (all the thumnails pictures that illustrate what's in the product bundle) for my next commercial work without paying a liscence for this very product ?

I'm afraid not - the daz license covers the use of the content to create new iamges, it doesn't cover the existing promo images. You could open a Sales Support ticket to ask for permission, but given the potential cmplexity (Daz products with promos owned by Daz, PA products with promos owned by the PA, and sometimes promos from other artists used with permission as promo art but not with permission to sell) I am not sure it's an issue they will be able to help with.
I would think definitely not. If you don’t own the product and the promo art is not yours, that’s no different from stealing any art or image from the internet. A definite no no!
What exactly are you doing? Why can't you just make images yourself, or do you not own the product and just want to use the promos?
I came across this before. When you don't buy Daz products or don't really understand what they are (ONLY 3D ASSETS), some believe you get THOSE SCENES as part of the package.
Some vendors do include "Promo set ups as presets" so it lends to the idea that "Since you could do that with a click, it's basically okay to use the promo art" - cause that's part of what you'd be getting anyways.
Daz promo art is in the same category as Deviant Art to many people ... it's just a website with free artwork cause you don't see a price-tag on the picture..
I applaud Shaker for actually showing up and asking. That's a great question.

Story time and pardon me for going into it, but since we're here .....
On Facebook, I came across a person taking Daz promo art and running it through a (cartoon) filter and presenting it as his cartoon art.
And getting tons of compliments about his 'precise line work'. I had reservations about being the art-police, but told him that it wasn't cool and when HIS FANS didn't get what I was saying (you can imagine how that went), I showed the original promo art.
He sent me a bunch of private messages explaining that he doesn't use Daz or buy the assets, but since it was free (Daz Studio, the software, mind you) that the promos are free and come included with the download.
None of that made sense, but as a reach, people think you are getting the Promo Images (to use)......included with the product....
Anyone using an image without written permission from the creator is breaking copyright laws, no matter what spin they put on it to justify them stealing it.
It's been my experience with mesh assets from games that users will use all kinds of reasons to justify stealing and everyone has their own ideas on where to draw the line.
Don't get me started about music. lol
I was going to call you out for the i13 Ironman advert, where almost their entire store was $2.99. I was like "I know this dude MUST have gotten some stuff" lol
There's another one of our friends who always passes on sales...drawing a blank right now, but I think that got him too.

A lot of artists have trouble with Merch, so many sites use their designs and throw then on stuff and sell it.
That's why I can't mess with certain 3D sites and just stick to Daz.
a) I don't want to accidentally use a gaming asset (for the legal)
b) I don't want to accidentally use a gaming asset (for the recognition)
Thieves don't need excuses, but seem to have no shortage of them when required.
