How do you stop Lux Render from running?

[How do you stop Lux Render from running?] For some reason it decided to continue running in the background even though I'm not using it. I tried simply ending it in the task manager, yet it refuses to go away. It can take up a ton of memory, upwards of 900 mbs at one point, most so I need it to get lost when not in use.

Open the Luxrender window/interface and hit "Esc". That should stop it.
