Aldo face shader messed up

Just got the Aldo character and the face texture shows white with black lines in the preview and renders totally off. I've tried re-applying full textures and face and while I can get the preview to look correct with redoing the face textures, the render is still off. Has anyone run into this or something like it? What could the issue be?

Iray or 3DL? Works okay for me with both.
