Can I delete everything in the downloads folder for install manager or will that effect what I have installed, or will I not get updates for that product anymore? It is 432 gigs if I could delete that it would be a life saver

You can delete it without issue. If you need to re-install something, you will simply have to redownload the file.

I've had to reinstall Studio often enough that I personally recomend keeping all of the downloads in a storage drive, so you don't have to download them all again of you ever have to reinstall. Large capacity drives have gotten pretty cheap these days, and keeping the files can save you a lot of time when you have to rebuild

  • I've got them set up on a 3TB external drive to start with.  You can store the files wherever you want when you use DIM.  The reason I don't just archive them is it's difficult to see what has been updated that way.  The one thing you don't want is to have them running around on your C:, that isn't necessary.
