Conversion of Poser dynamics to DAZ?

Hi all, this is probably a bit of a holy grail, but has anyone come up with a way to convert Poser dynamics to DAZ, either the earlier dynamic cloths or dForce? Something simple minds like mine can grasp? (Yeah yeah, I know - simple "No!" lol) - thanks!

  • I have a vague feeling I saw something a few weeks back at Rendo, but searching there isn't finding it now... probably using the wrong words... Interesting that it worked once in dForce though!

  • it should be enough to simply apply a dForce Modifer Dynamic Surface (you'd want to refine settings, but as a first pass).

  • Oh cool! Is that in the Surfaces tab? Thanks Richard!

  • Yes, the dForce material settings are accessed through the Surfaces pane - some items might also need weight maps, though, and it's true that dForce doesn't support some Poser-dynamics features such as the rigid areas (dForce can have 0 dynamic strength, but I think in Poser parts can be set rigid but still simulate as a unit).

  • Thanks Richard, I shall try it out! :)
