Why does camera always change to perspective when hitting render

I have custom camera... it is selected. When I hit render to ready fo rrender, the camera reverts back to perspective. I then have to go back and select the custom camera. 
I've missed that change back a lot, and end up going off and rendering ... then come back to find it rendered the wrong thing.

    hmm, odd, I have never had that happen. I wonder if it is a setting in the render tab or in the camera properties

    i'll look around there. its strange..and it seems like it remembers after awhile ... after a couple of renders it finally sticks to the custom. strange I tell ya frown

    Do you have the Aux Viewport open, or the Viewport split into multiple views?
