Break my 60%+ off or not?

davesodaveso Posts: 7,918

I set my goal to purchase to be at least 60% off ..preferrably higher, but there are a few items on my wishlist that are 50% off, plus another $6 with the PC+ coupon... brings the 3 I put in cart to 58% off. Close.
BUT ... the way things go here at DAZ, I can see that these will be 70% off eventually. I think.

    I don't understand your problem.

Either you want these items now, at the price of 58% off, or you don't because you want to wait for a better offer later.

So, satisfaction now, or saving 30 cent later?

EDIT: You apparently don't NEED the items you intend to buy for some project that has a deadline, because otherwise, it would no question at all...

I don't "need" anything DAZ sells. Its a hobby for me, so its all what is new and glittery, or how much can I save.  I envision scenes that I can use the stuff I buy in. I could as well just use V1 and some old free props probably and be all good, but I like the new and shiny stuff. Stuff in my wishlist has higher priority, so its a matter of grabbing it or not. Eventually pretty much everything here gets reduced a lot, or is in special offer.
Time to flip the proverbial coin. Bottom line is I have little to no willpower.

  • If you have picked up a gift card at a good discount, using that for your purchase could easily push you over your absolute percentage discount requirement. Of course, if the store discount alone is the issue, well, that’s another thing. ;-)

You might also use ATI/Overdrawn's "DAZ Deals" plugin to look at the price history and see if there is a likelihood of it going lower in the foreseeable future.
