Point of Discussion: Base characters are for sale -- good .. but

Great deals on G8 and G3 characters ... only thing, i've purchased them before, but then when the bundles are real cheap or free, it seems to reduce the value of the free items .. when you already have the base character. 
its all good I guess, but

    Well, this sale is for those who just need the base character and not the bundle. If that sale isn't what you need, just wait for the next one... heart

    One of the main reasons for me not buying those Base Figure bundles is, that I usually would only use 1/3 of the stuff coming in them. So generally buying just the figure when in a sale and waiting for those items turning up in a sale too would be more cost effective for me.

    So the flashsale today was very tempting, until I remembered that there will be the PC+ sale coming up soon and that my budget is limited... and that I don't really need any of those Base Figures right now...

    The only bundle I buy is the initial genesis male figure.  I'll pick up various base characters, as they're released, but only for the "genetics" and/or skin texture - like maikdecker, most of the bundled items I'd never use.  As for the characters I currently see on sale, I didn't want or like them previously and I still don't want or like them now.

    Not really because the only value they have to you is whether or not you personally want them and at what price you want them. Once paid for or given away free they have value only if you use them. That's the big thing to consider (and what has changed my buying habits).

    There is a few of the base figures I would like to have, but naturally I am unable to do so... still about a week until I would have been able too, oh well.. there's other sales :)
