This should be an easy one for you DAZ Gurus.
I was was wondering how you make a Primitive Plane stop casting a shadow?... As in what setting should I apply to the plane?
As always, thank you guys/gals for your great help!

Easy in 3DL: go into Parameters/Display, click 'Casts Shadows' to Off.
Impossible in Iray. No way to do it other than compositing in the plane later.
That's not very cool... Sounds like a bug or oversight that needs to be fixed.
Not if you understand what Iray is.
Iray uses a mostly realistic calculations of light propagation to render a scene.
Light cannot realistically both bounce off a surface and go through the surface.
3dl can because many light models use a series of abstractions, and you can have surfaces do all sorts of unrealistic things.
You can set the render mode to Interactive, instead of Photoreal, to make shadows optional - but this does have other effects too (disabling emitters, for one, unless that has changed).
@ Oso:I understand what Iray is and it still should have an option to take away shadows from figures and props.. Especially when the shadows are showing imperfections that you wish to hide.
With Poser, it's an easy option to simply click and the deal is done. DAZ it would appear has overlooked this convenience which can be very problematic in some circumstances.
@ Richard Haseltine: Thank you very much for the option.. I'll give it a try. :)
Shadows are the way Iray works, it isn't a Daz decision (or anything Daz can affect). Shadows off/on is supported in 3Delight, as are non-inverse-square light fall-off and other things.
Thanks for the help folks. :)
