Save as a wearable preset or a prop asset?

Hi,

I want to convert (using the new converter from RiverSoft) a gen2 outfit, and then convert the textures to IRAY.  After googling a bit my understanding is I can appy the iray uber base shader to the clothes, using ctrl click to preserve the texture surfaces. What is the best way to then save the clothes with iray? Do I save it as a wearable preset or a prop asset?

  • Either should work - if you use a Wearable preset before/without aving as a Figure/Prop Asset then the geometry, rigging, and morphs will be embedded in the preset (and in any scenes you load it into) so the asset saves disc space.
