What happened to Mimic?  I remember there used to be a software at Daz named Mimic.  Is it still around?  I do not mean Mimic for Carrara but the stand alone version.

Non-complaint:  I just finished watching the finale to the "Grimm" TV series.  Boy, what an opportunity for blurting out a spoiler. devil

...never saw an episode.  For that fact haven't seen most "popular" series as I have no television nor am subscribed to any online network services.

    Don't really miss it though.

Grimm was set in Portland so you're living it. laugh

I saw the entire series, cool horror romp for network tv, really. smiley

...yeah, I'd see them filming in various locations here.

I've never watched Grimm, but I've heard good stuff about it. On that note, are there any American Horror Story, Ripper Street or Whitechapel fans around? Or Penny Dreadful fans?

I watched the whole "Ripper Street" series.  Enjoyed it. yes  It was rather dark but had an OK ending.

I tried watching the "Penny Dreadful" series  but lost interest after the first two or three episodes.

Is it true that slugs have no bones?

Without looking it up, I'm going to guess yes. They seem similar to worms which I'm pretty sure don't.

Slugs are molluscs, bones are found only in the chordate lineage (or even only ion vertebrates, I can't recall off hand) as far as I know.

I don't know which is more ill-thought.  Wearing your bones on the outside.  Or wearing your flesh outside your bones.  Or just slithering around as naked flesh without armor, or bones. frown  When will life evolve quantum force fields? cool

Slugs are composed of slime and pure evil. I'm not sure about the percentages, but at least 50% evil. Especially the brown Iberian ones. They eat each other alive, sometimes simultaneously. (Source: I've seen it.) The only good thing about the super-dry summer we suffered through in Europe this year is that the majority of them seem to have croaked. indecision

...same here in Portland OR.  But give a few months of rain, and they'll be back again.

Though I now put the choking smoke from wildfires with weeks of 90°+ temperatures above slugs on the Evil-O-Meter.

Non-complaint:  Went for a drive yesterday.  Uptown for some fine dining at "Wendy's" frown  Yay, chilli! yes  On the way the car radio began playing the "Jupiter" segment from Holst's "The Planet's Suite".  I've heard it so many many times that I'd gotten tired of it and haven't played it for a couple years.  But absence makes the heart grow fonder and I was again struck by the innate majesty, glee and excitement in it.  heart

Complaint:  It was raining steady, hard and cold all during the drive. sad

Saw the title of this thread and giggled.  My gift card woes last weekend were eased by the appearance of cats.

For anyone who saw my undignified rant, I feel I should mention that they didn't actually issue a refund for the enormous gift card which initially didn't work. (I had a different, smaller one work twice.  In order to take advantage of the sale items, I then paid for a second one which covered the difference.  I opened a ticket asking for a refund to my original payment method.  They didn't.) I can't complain too much, though, since they did finally activate the (huge) gift card that didn't work and also let me keep the not-quite-as-huge accidental duplicate gift card.  Seemed like more than a fair trade.

And, lol, I've already spent it this weekend already because... holy PC sale, batman.  Or, maybe I should say "holy PC sale, catwoman"?

Hmmm doubtful for any of that with this roommate, except for maybe a nickle.

true but I heard buying more tickets do not really increase your odds by much, if that is true.
