Is it possible to watch MP4 or WMV on an ipad?

I got a bunch of MP4 or WMV files from Daz but I was wondering is it possible to watch them on an iPad?  I am trying to figure out the best way to watch them and still have access to my computer.

If the VLC player app is available that should play anything...

VLC all the way. It plays anything. I have it on my ipad, Macbook, Linux and Windows machines. Been a fan for a LOOOOONG time :)

I have it on all of my devices and could play anything....none of my devices are apple.

+1 for VLC. I have it on my iPad, my Android phone, my Windows PC and laptops, my MacBook, my Linux box, and my Raspberry Pi's.

I think that covers everything.
