I am having a bit of a problem, I need to get some point lights set up with falloff distances, and I can't get them to show up with the option to set that up, I have tried both types of point lights and neither has the settings which is nuts because I had one with falloff settings on it earlier in this scene, but I deleted it, and now nothing... Any ideas what i am doing wrong here? This is getting annoying as hell.

Are you using 3Delight or Iray? For 3Delight linera point lights have fall off, 'normal' point lights do not. With Iray all lights have fall off as they obey physical concepts.
In 3Delight Point Lights have fixed inverse-square fall-off, as all points do in Iray. Linear Point Lights in 3Delight offer controllable fall-off.
Ah that's why. Thanks .
means that linear pointlight and point lights are useless for Iray? if thats true, then IRAY SUCKS BIG TIME
No, it just means that you don't need to set falloff in Iray because the lights are physically based lights. In reality you cannot set the falloff of your lightbulbs and you can't in Iray either because the math is done internally, as it is in all physically based render engines.

Point lights are not useless, but you will need to adjust the Tone Mapping settings to get a decent balance.
