I read this in the forum.
"DAZ Studio 4.5 users install the DSON Core files.
Poser users install the DSON Core & Poser Companion files."

what is DSON?
what is PoserCF file?

I noticed the files come in 2 formats.
for eg
CharlizeforGenesis2FemaleCharacter
CharlizeforGenesis2FemaleCharacterPoserCF

Just want to know which one should I use for carrara 8.5?
I am new to Genesis, have only been using V4.2.

Thanks in advance.

DSON is the current format for Daz Studio content. Carrara 8.5 can use content in this format.

PoserCF files are what Poser uses to load DSON files with the Poser DSON importer. PoserCF files are no use at all for Carrara, you can ignore them if you don't use Poser.

If a file doesn't have "PoserCF" or "Legacy" on the end of the name it should be a DSON core file.

For Carrara 8.5 just install the file that doesn't have PoserCF at the end. It won't do any harm if you do install the PoserCF as well, but there is no point in doing it.
