What product(s) have exited you lately ?

I found not a lot has exited me lately. Not to complain because people have different leanings. Okay, so the most exiting thing for me recently was the new daz dog which was way overdue. The fact that it was co-ordinated with great related products was very impressive. The new video arcade really perked my interest. I disagree with the creator though that it was 90's. Believe me that whole thing smacked of the early 80's when I was hitting the games at 7-11 on Sunday morning after delivering the Sacramento Bee to over 60 customers and Shakeys Pizza on Friday and Saturday nights.

 

What I would really like to see less of is another apartment, bedroom, bathroom, pool, living room. More boats and nature themes. Products released in 3delight as well as iray. Products released for g3 as well as g8. Now I am starting to get mad so I will just ask again, what is exiting you in new products lately ?

    I have a decent library so most products fall into the '"more of something I like' or ' this will replace that' where a different/newer/better version of something comes out and it mentally replaces what I was going to use before. I have to look at game changers and things like DForce that really add something new. Fluidos is also that. Products/features that promise to deliver new features.

    A lot of helper utilities have made so much work and tedious tasks easier.

    RiverSoft Art has really added some much-needed helpers....

    His Billboards and Bone Doctor series.......His Look at Me Pose Control.....

    V3Digitimes made Ultimate Pose Mixer. I did not see that coming, but the ability to script and lock/unlock parts of characters/poses was a great, great utility. So quick and easy.

    All of those really, really added to the workflow....

    But I am wondering if there will be an Iray 2.0 to take advantage of this new tech or will Iray just be updated. I can imagine products coming out saying "...for Iray and Iray 2.0" so I wonder if there will really any change in the look. Another change/shift like there was from 3Delight to Iray. That would exciting - if the core rendering engine's look had some kind of base change. And it might be like the arrival of Generation 8 where there are pages and pages of debates about what looks better and tons of comparison renders. And lots of new products with render settings and cameras that take advantage and lighting utilities. It could be crazy.

    Hmmmm mark this post for future reference.

    Brute 8, because it feels like The Freak is back.  Modular Medieval Village, Dog 8, DForce non-clothing stuff like SY dForce Ropes, Vines and Tubes and others.  Fluidos for sure, wish I could afford that right now, it looks amazing!

    What products have exited me lately?

    Well, it wasn't anytime recent, but as a child, I nervously gnawed upon a pencil's eraser which popped from the wooden stylus, both the elastic and the metal crimping ring and I accidentally swallowed it.  About two days later it finally passed through my digestive tract and exited my body. wink

    I'm new at this, so a lot of stuff is exciting to me, and I keep discovering great stuff among all the old products. But regarding the most recent releases, the Toon Generation morphs for G8 and TOR have made me perk up.

    I am also fairly new to this and really as of last year this time did not have much of a library other than older copies of DAZ software.  So I am finding a lot of older stuff that is really great as well.

    Some items I have found this year and during my first PA sale:

    Zelara 8
    Ancient Mystical Forest
    Latonya 8
    Cartoonized for Genesis 8 Female
    Toon Generations for G8 (I still want to real baby/toddler rather than a cartoon version)
    Desert Motel Bundle
    Aguja Mermaid for Genesis 8

    I would like to see more exotic venues, specifically something tropical like a tiki hut or french polynesia over water bungalow style resort, island resort; a Las Vegas resort with casinos; elaborate amusment parks (disneyland/world), and/or water park like Schlitterbahn, a Cruise ship with elaborate interior, more animals such as extensive collection of exotic birds and fish - a Zoo for that matter..haha is this too ambitious? If I could learn 3D modeling, I would create some of these myself cool

    Lately? lf lately extends back 12 months then then the last week of September '17 two products dropped that got me excited enough to grab some G8M morphs and characters:

    Meshitup's Desert Robes

    Luthbel's World War II U.S. Uniform

    Then in early February this year Sickleyield released her two Roman Clothing Packs. Awesome.

    And today Phoenix1966 released Ohanzi. Wow, definitely a bit we excited.

    Nothing much has really excited me lately. Granted, I have tons of content, so I'm gonna naturally be winding down in that area. Maybe Riversoft Art's clothing converter is the closest I've come. As for the last figure, probably Ollie.

    Getting interactive licenses for sale during an interactive license 1/2 price sale for some old 3DU toon animals has been the most exciting thing to me in the last year. I still plan on collecting them all.

    Majority of the new releases excites me but Alessandro_AM's product catalog excites me most just because I like animals and nature, and they are well done. Excitement can lead to purchases. Such a powerful reaction!laugh

    And that's really about it. Only bought a few things from the vendor sale.  Mostly too expensive, and not really what I'm looking for (another female, tons of toons, the usual poses that look like repeats from other packs). Just not excited, so I made a choice to exit.

    I'm still waiting for K.H.Image studio to come out with an "ultimate natural bend morph" for V8! Will seriously pay $50 on-the-spot-original price for it! I'm dead serious! They can PM me and I'll send them the money!

    Someone already beat me by making comments on the typo in the subject of this thread. I haven't exited anything. I was excited about Floyd 8 and other "more mature" characters. They fit in more with the type of "reality" I wish to portray. They mirror my own life more closely, because I've lived in "Senior Citizen" buildings for over a decade.

    However I've halted my projects due to frustrations over the lack of some desired stuff... It's all pretty vague. Now I'm trying to see if any recent stuff excites me. Brute 8 appears to be a nice character, but haven't we already seen this stuff with Freak and other large characters? I never used them all that much.

    Um I was wondering the same thing,  but it is not any particular product other than my low hours at work cause low budget issues.  But it still has not exited me.

    Oh I think those IHOP pancakes might have exited me, or is it excited me then exited me.  The coffee I had with them took a while to exit me as I was hyper till bedtime (but forced myself to sleep)

    Interesting topic, let's see... products that have excited me lately (as in, this year):

    • dforce Master - Cloth Simulator | because it made dforce easier! 
    • Singular Blue's Prototype Script | not available yet on the store, but so excited to see him back.
    • Cartoonized for G8F | Just adds so much fun to the gene pool
    • The Brute 8 | Because he'll make any other character intimidating by "brutifying them". Plus, I was starving for male content.
    • FaceGen | Not a new item, but I got it not long ago during a sale and I regret not getting it before! It has open so many opportunities!
    • Altern8 | Another product I use in almost every render and one I cannot live without. Just so easy and so many possibilities to get different looks on one skin.

    Cartoonizer, several Linday products, gift cards and some great flash sales. Mostly picked up back catalog stuff and only the bare minimum of new products though.
