DIM question

Last summer after getting satellite internet I tried downloading what I had left of my products in DIM but the program crashed on me and when I restarted it all my files were messed up. It was showing I hadn't downloaded any of the files  (even ones I had downloaded a year or more before that) and the Files to Download list was completely full again, yet most of the files were also showing as downloaded in the Downloaded Files list (although anything listed as being an update was gone so I have no idea which products had updates and which didn't).  I left it as is because I couldn't get myself to deal with the mess at the time.

I want to get things cleaned up and fixed now though. Rather than trying to fix the giant mess it caused me I want to just start over. Even though my external drive is not hooked up DIM is seeing nearly 800 products installed though. How can I get that list cleared so it's like a brand new fresh start in DIM? I want to start over from scratch redownloading and installing all of my files. DIM is seeing this big list of installed files though even though the hard drive they are on is not hooked up. How do I get rid of that list?

Also, my Product List is organized by Most Recent Order Date first, and yet some of the freebies I ordered just 2 days ago are not at the top of the list. I have not ordered the items and they were not in any bundles in the past. They show in My Library on the site in the correct order, at the very top of the list, but in DIM they are not. Instead, the Genesis 3 Starter Essentials as at the very top even though I have ordered so many other freebies over the years since those products were added. I did an advanced search and they are showing on my list that they were added to the account, they are just way way down the list rather than at the top where they should be.

Thanks!

Look for the "ManifestFiles" folder. I'm pretty sure that's where DIM stores your downloaded/installed products. Move everything out of there (move don't delete just in case I'm wrong! :P) and it should think that everything needs to get reinstalled.

Had to do a search for that folder on the drive and it was found in a weird spot. That's probably why I couldn't find it last night when I thought of removing the manifest files too but I didn't know the name of the folder or any files to search for it LoL  I moved them to a temp folder I just made and loaded up DIM and the installed list is gone and the downloadable files number is higher.  Also that seems to have fixed the other issue where the other content was not showing.  Even though I have never downloaded some of those files (like the Genesis 8 stuff and my freebies from the other day), it's showing on the list in the correct order now also :)  I also had noticed that the installed files showed Studio 4.10 was installed but I have 4.8 installed so no idea what was going on there.

Thanks for the quick help! Seems to have solved both issues :)

As a side note, I love connecting to DIM now that I'm on satellite! On dialup it would take 10+ minutes to just bring up the product list and now it takes about 10 seconds :D

You're welcome, I'm glad it helped.

And wait until you have 2000+ purchased products like I do. :) Even on broadband it takes several minutes. I usually start DIM then browse the forums until it's ready for me. ;)

I've been a member forever :P I haven't bought anything other than freebies for several years though. No idea how many products I have but the download count is right on the edge of 2000 (1900something).  Haha as of last summer before I had satellite it had taken 4-5 years to get about 2/3rds of them downloaded. I'm not on a real fast speed (12mbps) and I have an extrememly small bandwidth limit (10gb/month) but it's so much faster and nicer than my 2.5kpbs dialup speed!
