Anyone used this product for indoor work?

Hi -

This Dreamlight product:

is supposedly suitable for use with indoor scenes with the ceiling removed. I'm still doubtful as to how well it would work in scenes with no or small windows, or night scenes.

Anyone have any experience with it? I'd like to get it on sale today if has favorable reviews.

Thank you.

well when they work the light is really good but to get it not to hit the walls in the room the room must be big or you need to rotate them until you find a spot where it doesnt

look like the sun is shining in through the roof lol.

the light itself is really soft but i have found another problem and that is colors.

colors gets too cold even when using the standard whitebalance setting.

white clothes turns blue if you reduce the luminance.

its some cheating going on aswelll

reduce luminance is done with just a higher exposure value in the rendering setting.

probably why colors looks off when you want more dim light.

but for bright scenes and portratis of females they works great.

a rig with 3 lights from Render studio Iray will give you better quality light overall and better colors along with more options.

    Key Light

Fill Light Center and a Rim light is all you need to lit up a scene and a caracter

Use Gost light for the rest if the light still is too dim
