    I still use Poser, but I can't answer your questions. I've had trouble using the DSON importer in Poser so I just stick to using Poser content. I can get Genesis to work, slowly, but when I tried Genesis 2 the teeth ended up hovering in the air a few feet behinf the figure and I couldn't find any way to move them. 

    I've been a Poser user for quite a long time so I've got a lot of Poser stuff, mostly Vicky 4 and Mike 4.

    been waiting a lonnng time for carrara new version,
    had a thought to taking up poser again.  poser or blender

    Thank you, that fixes the problem of the jaws being out of place.

    I still find it very sluggish. For example the morph dials don't seem to respond at all. I can type numbers in but there is usually a pause of several seconds between clicking on the number and the value becoming editable. My computer is reasonably powerful, 6 core i7 running at 3.47 GHz and 12 GB of RAM. I wonder what sort of computer you need to make this responsive enough? Maybe it's because I have got a lot of morphs for Genesis 2 and with no injection files they all get loaded all of the time. But with Vicky 4 I can load all of the ++ and Elite morphs, Aiko, Stephie and The Girl and everything still runs smoothly.
