Rendering front and side profiles at the same time

Hello,

I'd like to render a split screen showing a front and side profile at the same time.  I went into the viewport and selected Side by Side, but images render separately.  Any quick way in DAZ or do I have to render 2 images, then go out and paste them together in PS?

See attached.

You could create an instance of your clothed character and rotate it 90 degrees and then render.

(Use the Daz Studio Create menu and select New Node Instance.(

  • Completely unfamiliar with Instance.  Will explore and see.  Thanks

The nice thing about a node instance is that it doesn't use many resources. If you just duplicate the character, that will be a heavy load, but an instance is a very light additional load. The downside of an instance is that it uses exactly the same materials and pose of the original. In your case, I think that downside is an advantage. Any change you make to the materials or pose of the original will be reflected in the instance, so your profile will always match your front view.

Here is an example. The one on the left of the image (front view) is the original. The one on the right is the instance. I rotated the instance and translated both along the X axis so they didn't overlap completely. This is useful. Thanks for suggesting the idea of the front and profile in a single render.
