Why won't it make a texture?? Zbrush?

I keep trying to make a map for my character and Zbrush keeps doing this mess.  Why?  Any ideas?

Why does it have to be so difficult and stupid.  You Polypaint, you create textures from that Polypaint...why would it do that?

Is Mudbox or Surface easier than this and not have bugs like this?

To be honest you'd think Textures be a one button solution at this point.   I mean you can do morphs and all kinds of stuff..why not paint and hit the GOZ button and boom..texture on the character.

  • If you are trying to paint a Daz figure (please put the salient facts in your post, not in a video) then you will be running into the fact that those use UDIM, or at least stacked, UVs - several maps that each use the full ara of the map but which apply to diffrent body areas. It is possible to do these, if you have an OBJ to paint that uses the surfaces of the figure (so not via GoZ, and you have to tell ZBrush's OBJ Importer to read mats as groups), by hiding all but one map's worth of the figure, creating a texture, hiding all but the next, creating texture, and so on.

  • I use the multi map exporter plugin with UDIN mapped figures

the others I have the fiddly issues of exporting one poly group at a time hiding others

I thought I could use that but it did the same think.  It exported some black page.   Man this really sucks.  I'm fighting this more than creating with it.
