Does anyone else know about this and am I right in my assumption

I just found out Wix bought Deviantart. I did not even know it was up for sale. Seeing as this is a rather big thing I thought there might be some announcement, I must have been sick that day. In their submission policy when art is submitted to them they have a non-exclusive right to do with the art as they wish. Can anyone help me understand if I am in correct in assuming that means they gain the rights to any art I upload there. I found out about this through this item someone posted on facebook and normally I am very sceptical of anything on facebook, but it seems to be true.

No they don't gain any rights to your art. Everyone would leave if they started stealing people's art. I think its been addressed over at Deviant Art but I have no idea where.
Here it is
UPDATE: There's been some confusion around wording used in TechCrunch's reporting of the DeviantArt and Wix story.
Their article includes: "...Wix will open up DeviantArt’s repository of art and creative community to the Wix platform, giving Wix’s users access to that work to use in their own site building."
Please know that the DeviantArt Submission Policy, Terms of Service and Copyright Policy all remain the same. Deviants continue to own their own works. In the future, there's a possibility Wix might provide opportunities for you to license your work -- only if you want to -- to more people around the world. And, there will be opportunities for Wix users to join DeviantArt and make the community stronger.
They did address it in one of those top of the page things on the Notifications page, back when it happened.
I think dA claims a nonexclusive right to use art of yours for certain promotional purposes - they can use copies of your images to sell the service to others, but they can't actually sell the image itself, and they credit you if they do use it (although I don't know if they notify or ask first) -- but they don't claim any copyright.
On the dA terms of service page:
EDIT: Ah. Found the announcement itself. And they are, as it turns out, rather peeved about that TechCrunch article. (Update near the bottom of the page.)
OK and will post this over at Fantasy Attic, don't want to start a panic if I am wrong, it's why I was asking around about it. Strange I never heard of this till now though. I also plan on going over the policy in more detail on the weekend, just to make sure.
As I understand it, Deviant Art can use your work for anything they want without asking... as long as it's on the platform. I imagine they won't use it for any permanent, major projects since you could take down your submission at any time. They might temporarily use it to promote the site itself.
I think every website with user created uploads has to have users agree to allow the platform to "use" the content - otherwise the platform would not be allowed to show it to anyone.
This is no different than Daz using our artwork on their front page or in their newsletters.
