My Real World Story Challenge

I want to start a comic, or illustrated story, about a regular guy's weird experiences. A security guard worked in a rough neighborhood and stumbled into a fight between two street gangs, the Crypts and the Bloods. He survived because the police arrived quickly. Later the security guard worked in a 24-hour grocery store. I'm looking for a convenience store, "uniforms" for the employees. I'm looking for a grocery store, police cars, security guard uniforms etc.

This story is "not too loosely" based on my own experiences. Believe me, I am not a famous person. I've led a rather surprising life, and been very lucky to survive some potentially dangerous situations.
