DAZ Connect Not Responding (Resolved - I think)

When I try to start DAZ Studio with DAZ Connect the program doesn't respond and the mouse pointer just stays as a blue circle swirlie until DS finally crashes to desktop. I can however, start DS if I choose offline mode.
Is anybody else having this problem?

I am having issues with DIM not wanting to respond and Connect being slow to load stuff.
I was after I bought Luca on launch day. It took a day or two, but he eventually showed-up without having to send a ticket in.
No problems just now for me. Has your security software been updated recently, that you can tell?
I have AVAST free and as far as I know there haven't been any recent updates but like my Windows 10 it just sort of updates and I may never know it.
Just did a fresh reinstall of both DIM, Daz Studio and installed some content through Daz Connect and I didn't have any issues.
Running Windows 10 over here, default firewall settings on this machine.
Thanks DAZ_Rawb and Richard. My DAZ Studio and Connect seem to be working at the moment.
Here is what I did:
I remembered that when I recently installed Fluidos it had installed a new version of Visual C++. So I first removed Fluidos.
I then ran Windows update which installed a new Windows 10 cumulative update and restarted the computer.
After that I used DIM to reinstall Fluidos but did not let it reinstall Visual C++
Well it looks like I spoke too soon. Now again DS won't open and eventually crashes to desktop when I try to select something on the welcome screen.
Edit: It seems to be intermittent. Sometimes it works and sometimes clicking on buttons on the welcome screen causes it to crash. If I can get DS to open it sometimes crashes after a long time of swirling mouse pointer.
Edit to add: Since the prroblems were intermittent I am hesitant to be sure it is fixed; but I think I may have fixed the problem. With the prospects of Hurricane Florence I didn't have a lot of time to work on the problem but I tried updating the drivers for my GTX 1080 ti video cards and I haven't had any more crashes in the day or so since updating it. Not why the old driver would have been a problem; but maybe it became corrupted or maybe Windows 10 did some update that rendered the old driver problematic.
