I'm simplifying things again!

I've been a DAZ customer since their Zygote days. (19 years?!) I have a reasonably large collection (Many long-term customers have much more than I do.) I just get tired of scanning through so many items I never use. I finally setup one folder for Genesis, another folder called "People," for generations before Genesis. I created another folder for my favorite Scenes (mostly). I created one last folder for stuff I might never use. I call it "Everything Else." My life is much easier now!laugh

Hope you find a use for all the unemployed characters laugh

its nice to do cleanup from time to time.

  • That's one reason I simplified everything. All the characters, clothes and stuff are out there and easier to find. The same goes for some of my favorite scenes. Have a great day!

It feels good to get organized, doesn't it? I created some custom categories to keep everything organized too. Used to be as soon as I got something new and downloaded I would immediately get it in the correct category. I kind of fell behind on that over the past few months though. I need to go over my purchases over the past few months and get caught up with the organizing again. :)

...yeah thinking about another reorganisation after all the upgrade are finished.  Just concerned about broken paths when loading a scene.in progress.

  • I don't use Categories, Smart Content, etc. I just install or drag stuff to where I can find it all. Yeah, I cheat, and let DIM install stuff first. Then I drag the "Facing Files" to where I want them.

If you use categories (right click >> Categorize), instead of moving files, you shouldn't get broken paths. :)
