Character age guessing with How-old.net

Just for curiosity, I put a few characters (mostly ones I've purchased) through Microsoft's How-old.net filter. Here are the results, many of which I'd take with a grain of salt as there can be wildly different results with the same character, and Microsoft admits it's still a work in progress.
For example, Cara by DTHUREGIF is meant to be 18 but the How-old engine thinks she's anything between 6 and 20; Liv for V4 by the same artist is supposedly 35-42 but a bit under. Mage by Vyktohria is recognisably a "crone" but How-old was way under; by contrast, Nalfaar by the same artist is about right.

It seems to rely significantly on the skin clarity, moreso than merely the proportions or such tells as bags and jowls. The one it pegs as 27 would be AT LEAST 20-25 years older to my eyes.
i think also How-old.net only scans faces, not other body proportions like breast/waist/hip proportions, so it'll estimate a lot younger with many pics.
It appears to be only slightly worse than just assigning random numbers out of a hat :P
For those three sisters I would say the google estimate is more accuate than the age written above, just looking at their faces. Some other results are rather funny. I guess I#ll try with some of my own characters as well :D
It seems pretty accurate for the guys. It consistently pegs Owen as being Older than Boyd, which is true his body is older. Although one time it pegged him as 41. I think it interprets facial hair as being older.

Abuse?.....I treat my old friends well................. (though now that you mention it, one has scars all over, the other comes with bruises and bullet wounds, and the orc has a broken tusk....and yeah...guess I did that to them.....damn...I am mean) :P

It appears to be focusing on the eye spread, and their relation to the nose and mouth. Hence, the old lady with defined bags under her eyes reads as being in her 20s, simply because the distance between her eyes, nose, and mouth are that of a younger woman. Same with the 20-somethings showing as being 9 and 6.
It really is more difficult than it used to be with most people not working in farming and other outdoor jobs anymore. And then when you factor in things like premature greying, premature balding, and obesity epidemics and the tell-tale signs go out the window now more than ever and we are left with relying on stereotypes...well there is a good reason way they say never guess a women's age.
