Install Manager on a New Computer [SOLVED]

So I picked up a new PC (finally, yay!) and started getting Studio set up on it.  I've always kept my Content Library on an external drive, so when I got the new PC, I just jacked that baby in, fiddled with the Content Directory settings, and I'm good to go.  But, when I put Install Manager on, it is convinced I need to redownload everything.  Unfortunately, I also always erased the packages after installation, so they are not on my drive or my old PC.  Is there any way to convince DIM that I really don't need to download everything again?

  • You want the Daz Install Manager/Manifests folder from the old PC. Note, however, that that stores the absolute path of the isntall so if you have the external under a different dribve letter on the new machine you may need to adjust the update settings and be aware that there could be issues.

  • Perfect!  I actually hit another problem moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  I accidentally moved the InstallManager directory to my User Documents directory instead of the Public documents directory.  but even if I had spotted that, my external drive would have had the wrong letter and needed to be changed.  Thanks!
