Can the base for Lashes Utilities G8 female be customized?

I've created some eyelashes for g8 that have dots on the tips and I like them but I'd like them more if I could do the same thing with some of the lash utility lashes.  But for the life of me I can't find the base file for it.  Which makes me think it's somehow embedded in a manner that doesn't allow modification.  Anyone have some ideas of how to do this?

    EDIT:  If you're referring to this product: https://www.daz3d.com/lashes-utilities-for-genesis-2-3-and-8, the answer is probably no.  This uses fiber mesh, which is composed of individual geometry hairs.

    I think you're asking about changing the eyelash figure that accompanies the Genesis 8 figures?  If so, it's just a surface setting like any other.  Select the eyelash figure (parented under the Genesis 8 figure) and then select the eyelash surface.  Click on the opacity map and change it to your desired map.

    Unfortunatly I was talking about the eyelash utility.  Very disapointing.  I did make some neat lashes with the regular eyelashes but really like the ability to shape them that the utility has in it.  Oh well.  I'm not real crazy about how my lashes align with the figure either.  The image will never bee this close up but it buggs me.  Think I'm going to remake them to be a little more stylized. 

    Between eyebrows and eyelashes I'm really struggling today.  The only brows I've found that I can put on top of my figure, instead of painted, are these addison ones and they are kinda crazy from some angles.  I like them, just not sure they fit the look I'm going for.  I spent a lot of time trying to adjust one side and am still not happy with how bushy they are and that they don't conform to the head.  If you have advice on brows I could definitly use it.  I'm going for fantasy straightish.  Maybe I need to buy a brow resource of some type.  Hand painting them and then getting the matched bump file proved beyond my skill level so far.

    Well... I'm not by any means a guru of fiber mesh, so I can't offer much on the eyebrow issue.  I'd be in the the "fiddle with painting them" camp, which would depend on photoshop brushes or merchant resources, because my painting abilities are also less than stellar.  My approach would be to... 1) eliminate brows from the base texture in Photoshop and save a copy, 2) put the texture with a brow on top of the one you just made and then change the layer style to subtract.  This should, in theory, give you a fairly decent outline of just the eyebrows.  3) You can then create a group, merge the group, desaturate it, and adjust the levels until you have a black-and-white alpha map of just the brow shape. 4) In Daz Studio, give your character the brow-less texture and then 5) make a geometry shell, setting the opacity of everything to 0 except the face texture, which you would apply the brow-on texture and your alpha map as the opacity value.  From there, you could fiddle in Photoshop with using desaturate and levels or brightness/contrast to create some displacement or bump maps.  Between those settings and the ability to offset the distance between the geometry shell and the figure, you could probably find something a little more realistic than just a base eyebrow texture.

    On the eyelashes, if I was to approach your problem from a non-fiber (standard geometry) angle, I'd shape them using D-Formers.  You can use a weight map to influence just the parts of the lashes you want to shape, and then move the D-Former anyway you'd like.  If they look lumpy, I'd subdivide and smooth until they looked better.  I'm in the middle of a massive dForce simulation, or I'd add screenshots.  I'll see what I can do in a few minutes.

    Ok that has potential.  I had not thought to try the geometry shell for this.  I just tried amping up bump and it made the dots on her face look like pimples so I knew that was not going to work.  Thanks for all the tips on both brows and lashes.  Sure hope I can figure all this out.

    Oh!!!  How perfect!  I wish this had been out two months ago.
