I just upgraded (ha ha) to Win 10 this past week, and I downloaded Classic Shell so I could make my desktop like Win7 and get a normal start menu again.  Well, I somehow got on that screen with all the tiles and I can't find how to get back to my desktop.

Also, Windows did some kind of update and now all the files and folders contents are double spaced.  What the heck!  How do I get rid of the double spacing and get back to the normal single spaces?

I already reget letting myself get talked into getting Win 10 and wished I still had my Win 8.1.  Sigh.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

start (windows icon) - settings - personalization

This will bring up a dialog

On the left hand side click the start tab

Turn "Use Start full screen" off   (its the 6th one down)
