This something I've tried to do for some weeks now, but without reakl success. I do own https://www.daz3d.com/sy-genesis-8-clones-for-genesis-3 product, and althought it is extremely good and usefull for clothes, it fail in the high heels department. For flat shoes, no problem.
I was able to fit Jiwoo pumps ( https://www.daz3d.com/jiwoo-pumps-for-genesis-8-females ) on G3 but had to convert the shoes to obj. Import the hoes and fit the feet inside them. Bake Joint Rotations. Transfer Utility with G3 as source and Shoes as target. Finally, save the pumps as Figure/Prop assets. The only problem with this method is that you loose the adjusting set made for the original version.
If you go through the forum, you'll see that it is much of a consensus that - for the time now - it is better to stick with shoes made for G3, on G3. I do think it has something to see with the absence of a heel bone in G8.
Once, I was interested by a particular pair of pumps made by Aryn for G8. I even wrote to them to ask for a G3 version. They didn't even care to answer :-(
I just hope someday someone will create a failsafe product or method to use G8 shoes on G3.

Thank you for the reply but while it works for clothes, it does not work with footwear -- especially high heels
